Sustentation / Free Will Offerings We really value the gifts of all our parishioners and friends of the various Parishes in our group - without your giving the work of the Church would not be possible. As in recent years may we once again gently encourage people to ensure that their offerings are with the various Parish Treasurers by the last Sunday of the year. This year it will fall on the 30th December so it really would be ideal if gifts could be received the Sunday before - 23rd December. If we can comply with this request then the treasurers will have opportunity to bank your gifts before the end of the financial year, ie 31st December. This will enable us to produce a set of accounts based on the balance in the account at that date. |

Bazaar Kildallon Parish will hold their annual bazaar in the Kildallon Community Centre from 9.30pm on Friday 30th November. All the usual stalls will be in place and proceeds from the Bazaar go towards parish funds. Please leave donations of gifts with Kenneth Magee and items for bottle stall with Gertie Woods. |

Swanlinbar Supper Dance. Many thanks to everyone who came and supported a great night once again. £1,900 was raised for parish funds. The food and dancing were enjoyed by all, with music provided by the Lakelanders. A big thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a success. If the supper dance or Strictly Come Dancing on TV inspired you, why not come to a Social Night on Thursday 8-10pm in Swanlinbar Old School. You will be most welcome!

Please Help the Scribe Collectors I wonder if you were impressed with the development of the Scribe recently. It really is a publication the Diocese should be proud of. As you can imagine it involves a great team of helpers including our own distributors for each parish. To help ease the burden during the end of year festivities and weather uncertainties please encourage our Scribe collectors by giving your Scribe subscriptions for next year as soon as possible. The cost is €16.50 or £12.50 for a year. |

We would like to offer our sincere sympathy and prayers to Lorna Graham following the death of her father Harold Ernest Montgomery, and to his son-in-law George and his five grandchildren, Keith, Avril, Helen, Julie and Nigel. Harold was in his ninety-seventh year. We also offer our sincerest condolences to Phyllis Cassidy of Tomregan Parish on the death of her mother Lettie Wright aged ninety and to her husband David and the extended family. The funeral was at St Patrick's Church, Granard. Our sincere sympathies also go to William David Wallace (Willie) McClean’s wife Shirley, his daughters Rachel, Rebecca and Ruth his brother Robert, sister Hazel, mother Mary and his wider family and friends after his fatal accident about three weeks ago. Willie installed the new central heating system in St Peter’s Church, Templeport five years ago. Bereavement Prayer Heavenly Father, give us faith and light in times of darkness. May our trusting in you help us live with questions unanswered. Grant us a certain hope in You, that will grow to surpass immeasurably the greatest depths of despair felt now. In you our Lord we put our trust. |
