Weekly Prayer Meeting

This weeks meeting will be on Wednesday 18th August at 3 pm. at the Post Office, Corrawallen the home of Joe and Clare Hyland, where every one will be made welcome for this hour of prayer. Please ring 049 9526271 for directions.

Rev Brendan McCarty

We are delighted to inform you that the Rev. Dr. Brendan McCarthy has agreed to continue helping in the parish until next summer, if necessary. He shall function as a “priest-in-charge” and shall work for a half week in and for the parish. He understands and has agreed that if we nominate a new Rector within that period of time he will relinquish his responsibilities in the Group. We continue to pray for and seek the right person as the new Rector. Thank you for your prayers in this vitally important matter.

New Archdeacon & Canon

Congratulations to both Rev Craig McCauley and Rev Steve Clark who have just been appointed Archdeacon of Kilmore and a Canon of Kilmore Cathedral respectively! The service of installation will be on Sunday 22nd August at 4 pm in Kilmore Cathedral. All are warmly invited.

Community Volunteers

The following notice has been requested by Rev Hazel Hicks on behalf of the Cavan Family Resource Centre

Bereavement care volunteers are currently being recruited to provide support in Cavan, Monaghan and Fermanagh. We are offering an opportunity to receive high quality training in Bereavement support. If you are a caring man or woman and a good listener and have the time this could be for you. Training will take place between September and early December in a venue to be decided.
