Lent Services
Following a traditional penitential service led by Cannon Reggie Twaddell on Ash Wednesday, our following Lent services will be on the theme “The impossible dream”
This series is based on a prophet Micah and his challenging words to us today.
He has shown you O man what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.. Micah 6:8
There is a small booklet of very helpful Bible notes that will be used from our 2nd Wednesday that builds on the themes of the services in your own time in your homes.
If you would like to order your own copy please contact Beatrice Crawford or Molly Richardson. Cost €4 or £3.50
As is our usual group practice these services will move around all the churches in the group with our Holy mid week services in Ballyconnell and Kildallon.

Supporting Beryl Baker
As we enter the season of Lent we hope that many of you will support our annual Jar of Grace initiative. Just a quick recap for you as you engage with this idea again or perhaps for the first time. Jar of Grace labels will be available in each church and with the next Newsletter. This is a self adhesive label with the words “JAR OF GRACE” printed on it . From the 17th February, Ash Wednesday, I would ask that you stick this on a jam jar and place it in the centre of the table where you have most meals. Each time you sit to have a meal, I would invite you, along with every participating home in our Parish Grouping, to place a coin in the jar and say a simple prayer for those less fortunate than ourselves. Please do try and remember this each meal as a note shoved in to make amends for forgotten coins and prayers really is not quite the same as regular giving and prayer. On Easter Sunday we will collect in all the offerings and give thanks to God in the grace giving.
Each coin, no matter how small can make a difference. Let us give together and pray together and together we can make a difference.
